  1. Winter Parking Ban In Effect November 1st through April 1st

    November 1, 2016 - April 1, 2017

    The Pepperell Winter Parking Ban goes into effect each year on November 1st through April 1st, which prohibits the parking of motor vehicles on any public way between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. for more than one hour. The purpose of this parking ban is to assist the Town of Pepperell's Department of Public Works with snow and ice removal operations. The Pepperell Police Department is in charge of enforcing the winter parking ban. "Warnings" will be issued during the month of November only.l

  3. Nashua River Watershed Association's Tracking for Adults and Youth

    February 25, 2017, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ 592 Main Street

    Classroom director and wildlife tracker Stacey Chilcot will host "tracks and trails: searching for clues to winter wildlife in our forests, fields and streams". This 3 hour in depth workshop is designed for adults and older children ages 12 and up and focuses on three distinct winter habitats and the animals that not only survive but thrive during our harshest months. The activity level is moderate hiking or snowshoeing, mostly off train through snow. Attendees will need to dress for the weather: multiple layers, winter boots, and water resistant outer great (snow pants or gators). Bring a water bottle and energy snack. For the comfort of all, no dogs are allowed. The fee is $20/person NWRA members and $25/nonmembers. Preregistration is required as space is limited.     The Groton Garden Club and the Nashua River Watershed Association are cosponsoring a free public lecture "Ants in Your Plants: and Other Interesting Plant-Insect Interactions". The guest speaker is Elizabeth Farnsworth, Senior Research Ecologist at the New England Wildflower Society. The lecture will be held at 2:00 p.m. The snow dated is March 5.
