PRESENT: Selectmen Joseph A. Sergi, Patrick J. McNabb and Joseph Hallisey; Peggy Mazzola, Interim Town Administrator; Town Administrator John Moak
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.
APPROVE WARRANTS/SIGN PURCHASE ORDERS: The Board signed the warrants. There were no purchase orders.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: At 7:02 PM, Mr. Hallisey moved that the Board of Selectmen enter into an Executive Session for the purpose of conducting contract negotiations with Lt. David Scott for the position of Interim Police Chief. Mr. McNabb seconded. Mr. Sergi announced that the Board would adjourn following the executive session, and that Town Administrator John Moak, Lt. David Scott, and Peggy Mazzola, Administrative Assistant, would be included in the session. A roll call vote was taken as follows:

The Board spent a considerable amount of time in discussions relative to the contract with Lt. Scott. Mr. Sergi voiced his objection to #5 holidays and double time; however compensation for work on holidays must conform to Mass. General Law Chapter 147, §17F. On a motion by Mr. McNabb and seconded by Mr. Hallisey, it was unanimously voted to appoint David Scott to the position of Police Chief, term to expire 6/30/2012. On a motion by Mr. Hallisey and seconded by Mr. McNabb, it was unanimously voted to approve the contract with David Scott with a term beginning 3/15/2010 and ending 6/30/2012.
At 8:12 PM Mr. Hallisey moved that the Board of Selectmen exit the Executive Session and adjourn. Mr. McNabb seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken as follows:
