    The Dunstable Rural Land Trust’s Annual Meeting is open to the public. Come and find out more about the DRLT. The evening includes a cocktail hour and dinner. Marion Stoddart, founder of the Nashua River Watershed Association, will be the guest speaker, and will be showing the short film (10 minutes) “Greenway Heroes: Profiles in Land Conservation”. The film, produced by Sue Edwards of Pepperell and co-directed by Joy Reo of Westford, presents the firsthand accounts of three individuals who chose to protect their land permanently for the common good. In the film, Tom Jarvela of Townsend, Leigh Hudson of Princeton and Harley Holden of Shirley each will tell their story—why they protected their land, and the emotional impact of their legacy gifts.   7. Annual Town Wide Yard Sale and Used Bike Sale Event

    Bike donations will be accepted once the snow melts. Gently used bikes-all sizes, trikes, wagons and scooters-can be donated to the Friends of Pepperell Used Bike Sale fundraiser as long as they are in working condition. Email, text or call or 978.835.0133. The used bike sale will take place in the basketball courts at the town field. Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. (no earlier) and close at noon, or sooner is inventory is sold out. In the event of rain, the event will move indoors to the Sis McGrath Community Center. Yard sales will take place throughout Pepperell at various times as well as on the town field (4 Hollis Street) from 7:00 a.m. until noon. Maps of the yard sale locations and details will be available on the day of the same starting at 7:00 a.m. for $3 each.   8. Park Serve Day: Nashua River Rail Trail

    Lend a hand for this year’s Annual Park Serve Day sponsored by the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation, MA State Parks. This is a day of state-wide volunteer service at MA state parks. The Friends of the Nashua River Rail Trail are looking for volunteers to help get the trail in shape for the new season. Meet at the Sand Hill Parking lot on Nod Road, in Groton MA where we’ll organize for clean-up along the length of the trail from Ayer, MA to Nashua, NH. Help pick up litter and debris along the Trail. Bring your gloves, and maybe rake or shovel, if you have one. Along with clearing up the trail surface, we'll work on sprucing up kiosks, and checking trail signage.
