Dog Licenses

DOG LICENSES

Massachusetts General Law 137 states, "the owner of a dog over the age of 6 months shall obtain a license for the dog." An annual dog license application form will be included in the Census / Street List mailing.

Obtaining a dog license is easy, you may submit a request and payment by mail, dropping it off in one of the drop boxes, in person or online. (Dog License Online Payment Center)

2023 Dog License Application Form

The fee to license a dog that is intact is $20, a dog that is spayed or neutered is $15. We will need a valid rabies certificate, most vets send us a copy but if you aren't sure then you can email a copy to clerk@town.pepperell.ma.us.. Please feel free to contact the office to confirm what we have on file for your pet.

All dogs must be registered by April 1st annually, dogs licensed after that date will be assessed a late fee of $25 and that is in addition to the license fees indicated above. If you no longer have a dog that was previously licensed please let us know so we can update our records.
