PFAS Update

Pepperell Water System Users

The Town continues to monitor all the drinking water supplies for PFAS6 in compliance with MassDEP requirements.  We can tell you that the water supplied to Town residents currently meets the MassDEP standards.  The Nashua Road well is tested monthly and the Town ceased using it when it was found over the limit.  Most recent tests show that the Nashua Road well is below the limits. The Town is only using the Nashua Road well intermittently.  If any source were to be discovered above the MassDEP limit of 20 parts per trillion, we would notify all water users as we did previously.

If you have specific questions or concerns regarding the water please email or call 978-433-0359.

The Town is establishing a PFAS Task Force and if you would like to assist in helping put together a long-term plan to manage PFAS please contact the DPW.
