September is Emergency Preparedness Month

September is Emergency Preparedness Month.  Are you and your household prepped for any disaster that may occur?  The Pepperell Emergency Management Agency and our Pepperell Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) suggest you spend a little time this month working on your preparedness level.

Not sure where to start? MEMA (Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency) has a step by step guide.  https://www.mass.gov/info-details/30-days-30-ways-30-days-of-preparedness

Our own town website also has an “Emergency Preparedness” section on the our Emergency Management page with a list of how to prepare for an upcoming storm.  https://town.pepperell.ma.us/686/Emergency-Preparedness

Hurricane season does not end until the end of September and winter storm potential comes in play shortly thereafter.  A little advanced planning reduce the impacts to your health, safety, and comfort.
