Starting Tuesday, February 21, the Assessors will begin their yearly inspection of new construction building permits. Our inspections are completed by our contractor, Patriot Properties with Pete Krajeski doing the inspections this year. Mr. Krajeski has been performing these the last few years in Town. He will have photo identification, a letter from the Assessor's office and will be driving a 2021 Silver Jeep Cherokee with MA registration 84MS40. The purpose of this inspection is to gather data with the municipality for the purposes of real property taxation. He is inspecting properties that have building permits pulled for any new construction, repairs or maintenance in 2022 or any open older permits. It is important to let him perform the necessary inspection so the Assessors' can maintain correct information about each property and maintain fair and equitable assessments for Pepperell.
