COVID-19 Virus - Update 3/23/20 @ Pepperell Senior Center

Due to the Governor’s Shelter in Place order all programs at The Pepperell Senior Center will be cancelled immediately through April 8th. The Senior Center is essential during these changing times and we will be here to assist you in any way possible!

Hello Beautiful People,

I’m writing to you today to share the ways in which the senior center continues to deliver services and assistance in this current situation we are in.

As you know the center delivers meals on wheels and we will continue to do so. During this time the criteria for this program has been waived so if you would like to receive a meal, please call us today at 978-433-0326. The meals will be delivered to you Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The bags will be left on your doorstep and we will knock on your door, ring your doorbell, or give you a call.

The van which normally runs M-F will continue for necessary medical appointments. You must call the van line for your reservation 24 hours in advance. There will be a health questionnaire screening the morning of your appointment. Also, only one passenger at a time can be on the van. The van is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between passengers. If you need groceries, simply call the center with your list and we will deliver them to you. Payment can be made by a check to the Friends of the Pepperell Seniors or cash.

I’m sure many of you are stir crazy! Remember, we are here to help! If you’d like a call to chat or to check on your needs, we can do that! We have coloring books, pencils, sudoku books and many classes streaming live and by email links. Also, if you are a computer savvy person there are at least 5 ivy league schools that are giving free classes at this time! If you would like assistance with any of these great activities please reach out to us!

Please be reminded that this is still a fluid situation and the April 8th deadline may be extended. We will have limited staff at the center M-F 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please reach out to us if you have any questions, concerns, would like calls or need a meal delivered. We would love to hear from you!

During these challenging times a community needs to have a constancy we can rely on like our “Home Away From Home!” The Pepperell Senior Center is here just like we always have been and just like we always will be! Our biggest concern is your well-being so stay home and call us if you need anything! We miss you and we love you all!
